Welcome to Doolittle Acres Ranch. We named it that because sometimes it seems that we ‘Do little but work!’

We are located in beautiful Loma Rica, California, just 30 minutes outside of historic Marysville. When we arrived in 1998, it was just acres of fenced pasture. With the comfort of our horses in mind we have developed it into a beautiful, private breeding facility.

With the same amount of care we have also built our breeding program from the ground up using our combined forty years of horse experience as a basis for our breeding and training programs. Our mares have the bloodlines of Peppy San Badger, Doc O'Lena, Colonel Freckles, and others. We carefully choose the stallions to compliment each mares strength and improve her in some small way too. The result is an athletic, beautiful and sound horse with a superior mind.

A lot of time is spent working with our foals to give them the best possible beginnings. Each is as unique as its coat pattern, and treated that way. Our natural pasture setting allows each foal to grow up and play and learn how to be a horse. They play in our large pond and creeks, gallop across the lush pastures, and learn to respect other horses and animals. All this helps to develop sound healthy minds that are easily trainable.
